Okramail moves to Google Gmail  On May 14, Delta State will be transitioning the student email system to Google’s Gmail service, providing a 7GB mailbox, considerably larger than the current 10MB that is available in the student email system.  This change provides a number of benefits for our students, including access to many of the Google Apps – calendars and shared workspaces to name just a few.  The change will incorporate the existing email addresses, so there will be no need to learn a new address, or change any of your current communication processes.  One of the biggest changes for students will be the ability to read email on mobile devices.  Watch for more news soon!

Banner Upgrade May 14-16   May 14 was chosen by the Banner Power User Team as the date to complete the Banner 8.4 upgrade.  This change represents a substantial upgrade for the campus, and will require that Banner be off-line beginning 7:00 a.m. May 14th with all services anticpated to be available by Sunday, May 16 at 6:00 p. m.  The power users have been working hard to test the new modules, and this input and testing has been critical to the planning process.  While Banner will be off-line during this time frame, Blackboard and faculty/staff e-mail will be available and operational.   Additional details to come.
